The National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) has launched its initial Building Black Wealth Tour with events in more than 100 cities nationwide. The events, which include festive activities for youths, empower Black communities with steps towards homeownership, property investment, starting a business, and other wealth-building opportunities.

NAREB partners for the Building Black Wealth tour include the Church of God In Christ, the African American Mayors Association, the National Bar Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. Major sponsors include Wells Fargo and Fannie Mae. The HUD-approved NID Housing Counseling Agency provided free credit reports at the events.

Each event will have featured workshops catered to preparing the more than two million mortgage-ready Black Americans. These families and individuals have the credit and income to qualify for a home mortgage but have not started their journey to home ownership.
